‘I think getting older and understanding more about myself means this album feels really different to the other stuff I’ve made. I mean, I think I was pretty upfront and honest in my earlier but there’s definitely a different quality to the songs and the recording approach…..
after being a parent and understanding the trauma I’ve experienced in the way my mind works in terms of neuro divergence.
The stuff I’ve accepted about myself and the stuff I’ve overcome is the meat and bones of these songs….Is it perfect? Definitely not and neither am I. But I think there’s a heart in the music and a vulnerability which feels new.
The last couple records were effectively covered Albums exploring my early beginnings into music. But it feels great to get back to where I belong. Actually kind of feel scared to let people hear this album. But I think that’s positive you know?’
