Do you know a songwriter that needs a focused couple of days to get the best out of themselves and seriously commit to first steps as an artist? Are you someone who has always dreamed of having a world class record of their songwriting? It’s never too late to start that journey.

Most people have dreams of creating but without the accountability and focus it remains a dream. This is an amazing opportunity to make your vision a reality with my support and guidance.

What experience do I have?

I’m a singer-songwriter with over 10 years of songwriting and production experience. 3 of my 5 albums have been nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year award. The 3rd of those albums I engineered and produced in my bedroom. All of my 5 albums have featured extensively on BBC Radio Stations and internationally. My first album I learned from engineer/producer John Wood who produced the best known albums by John Martyn, Nick Drake, Fairport Convention and Sandy Denny. I’ve worked closely with members of Lau, Mogwai and Portishead. I’ve shared stages with Graham Coxon, John Prine, Laura Marling and Jason Isbell. Alongside all of this I have produced dozens of records for other people including Folk Artists, Rappers and Electronic Musicians.

Is this just for production/songwriting?

Not necessarily! It’s an among opportunity to work with me closely in a recording set up and have my guitars/keyboards/vocals/programming skills at your disposal for 2 full days. This could be used in any way. The only limitation is imagination in the world of recording.

Whatever your idea I’m open to discussing what your thinking and seeing if I can help.

There’s no better feeling for me than telling myself I’m going to do something and actually following through.

Every time I finish an album I get a really strong feeling of pride in my ability to take something from being a thought in my mind to a tangible reality that I can share with the world.

It feels amazing to know that I can trust myself.

My aim is to give each of the people I work with on this project that same feeling.
