Start Time: 7:30pm

One of the leading voices in Scottish traditional music, award-winning singer Fiona Hunter brings her long awaited second solo album, Atween The Salt Sea And The Sand, to Celtic Connections. Expect reworked versions of songs learned directly from mentors including Ray Fisher and Sheila Stewart, alongside interpretations of songs from both the Lowlands and Highlands of Scotland.

Joining Fiona at The Barony Hall is Adam Holmes, whose four albums, Heirs and Graces, Brighter Still, Midnight Milk and Dreamweaver have captured the imagination of the UK Folk Scene and gained him several Scottish Album of the Year Nominations. His songs have  featured widely on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3, BBC Scotland, and Virgin Radio, among many others.

Rounding out the evening is acclaimed Irish singer and flautist, Steph Geremia. Mixing powerful instrumentals and songs from the Irish, folk and Americana traditions, as featured on her new album, If Tomorrow, Steph will be joined by Scotland’s bouzouki powerhouse, Aaron Jones (Old Blind Dogs) and special guests including John McCusker (fiddle), Kris Drever (guitar & vocals) and Alan Kelly (accordion).
